Reigning champions Fenerbahce faced no problems at all in the first leg of the ETTU Cup final. In four matches against players from Polish KTS Zamek Tarnobrzeg club from Turkey made another important step towards second title in the row.“There was a no trouble during the match. The victory was very pure and clear. All players played at the highest level and produced wonderful game,” stated Team Manager Gürhan YALDIZ.

In front of 400 spectators the duel lasted three and the half hours. “All matches were very close and players were at their best. It could have been different result and that is why it is very hard to predict the outcome of the second match. Everything is possible and I know it is going to be open game, as it was in Istanbul. However I think we are much closer to the Cup then the Polish team.”

Spectators enjoyed first leg duels. “They left the hall happy. It was long and exciting match. They saw incredible rally. Some of them were unbelievable. I hope it will be the same in Poland. We will fight until last point and we like to take the Cup without losing second leg,”said Team Manager Gürhan YALDIZ.

Viktoria PAVLOVICH overcame JIA Jun and Renata STRBIKOVA. HU Melek added important point against LI Qian, but Elizabeta SAMARA struggled against HAN Ying. SAMARA recovered after 2:0 in reverse, levelled with 12:10 and 11:9 in third and fourth game, but lost decisive set.
