Entente Pongiste Issenne showed no mercy


Second stage of the Men’s ETTU Cup concluded last weekend. To the third stage progressed: Roskilde Bordtennis BTK61, Olimpia Unia Grudziadz, Cajasur Priego TM, Entente Pongiste Issenne, UTTF Raiffeisen Ligist, SKK El Nino Praha, Grupo Desportivo and TTSC

Second stage of the Men’s ETTU Cup concluded last weekend. To the third stage progressed: Roskilde Bordtennis BTK61, Olimpia Unia Grudziadz, Cajasur Priego TM, Entente Pongiste Issenne, UTTF Raiffeisen Ligist, SKK El Nino Praha, Grupo Desportivo and TTSC Nord.

Roskilde Bordtennis BTK61 accounted at all adversaries in Denmark. On home soil Allan BENTSEN, Finn TUGWELL and Nilsen Claus SCHOU overcame top seeded club in Group 1 Russia’s Baikal, Spanish CTM San Sebastian de los Reyes and Italian ASD Marcozzi Cagliari. Italian side concluded this weekend on position no. two.

In superb style, host of Group two, Olimpia Unia Grudziadz sealed the passage to next stage with three straight matches wins. Tomislav KOLAREK, Patryk ZATOWKA and Patrik CHOJNOWSKI were on duty this weekend. In Poland DT Diddeleng finished second, Sokah Hoboken third and Irun Leka Enea fourth.

Spanish Club Cajasur Priego T.M. justified their rankings. Carlos MACHADO, SHI Wei Dong and Alejandro CALVO were listed for the club but most of the credit goes to good performance of Carlos MACHADO. Visser Ham Rotterdam is second, CS Pristavu Campulung third and Sokol Kraluv Dvur fourth.

Entente Pongiste Issenne showed no mercy in France. Thanks the brilliant performance of Enzo ANGLES, Alexandre ROBINOT and JU Lin team easily prevailed against DKV Borges Vall, Drumchapel Glasgow TTC and DT Echternach
UTTF Raiffeisen Ligist progressed to the next phase. Christoph SIMONER, ZHANG Jie and Gabor GEROLD overcame all adversaries. Enjoy & Deploy Taverzo finished at position no. two, Arteal Tenis de Mesa was one place below and TTC Rio-Star Muttenz is fourth.

Tomas TREGLER, Antonin GAVLAS, Michal OBESLO, David REITSPIES from SKK El Nino Praha secured the top in Group 6. They left behind Centro Soc. do Juncal, OB-Bordtennis and TT Sport Club Elem.

Grupo Desportivo’s Diogo SILVA, Andrè SILVA and Aruna QUADRI are safely through the third round. Hosts Robot Metalfin Hustopece beat them in thrilling five matches, but they lost their chance after defeat against Yroni Givatayim. Tischtennis SportKlub Wien is fourth.

In Ukraine Aleksandr DIDUKH, YANG Ce, Ievgen PRYSHCHEPA and Denis GAVRILOV won all three matches with 3:0. Libertas Marinkolor Dubrovnik, Ilirija and Aladza are placed below.

New date for Men’s ETC third round

In Men’s ETTU Cup Third Round of the competition is scheduled for 13th to 15th December due to the previous clash with the World Junior Championships where several ETTU Cup players are involved.

In Third Round Dartom Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki will host Entente Pongiste Issenne. TTSC Nord will travel to Croatia to play against DR CASL. Logis Auderghem TT will host SF SKK El Nino Praha in Belgium. UTTF Raiffeisen Ligist will play against Stella Sport La Romagne in France.

In lower half of the draw TTC Magistral Moscow will host Roskilde Bordtennis BTK61, Istanbul BBSK will host Cajasur Priego TM, Istres Tennis De Table will host Grupo Desportivo Dos Toledos and TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau e.V. awaits Olimpia-Unia Grudziadz.
