Fantastic game with six European top players was seen at Berlin where 2012 WECL champion Berlin Eastside beat in five matches Fenerbahce, the team considered as clear favorite in 2013/14 Women`s European Champions League. Every moment of the match confirmed why both sides have the biggest possible ambition this season.

Six times Turkish champion in a row and two consecutive ETTU Cup winner started very well, leading 2:0, but Georgina POTA kept in live German side, beating Elizabeta SAMARA in game no. 3. SHAN Xiaona leveled on 2:2 against Viktoria PAVLOVICH, whilst Irene IVANCAN brought the win to the host, defeating HU Melek in five sets.

Triple medalist in recent 2013 LIEBHERR European Championships, SHAN Xiaona had no mercy against two Fenerbahce`s players a couple days ago at Schwechat (she eliminated Elizabeta SAMARA and HU Melek on 2013 ECH), but tonight, in opening game, HU revenged to her. Guest was one set down twice, but in fifth she made decisive step when she moved from 6:7 to 9:7.

Actual team`s runner-up of Europe, Kristin SILBEREISEN won two 30 points-long sets against two times former individual European champion Viktoria PAVLOVICH, but Byelorussian dominated in last two sets, opening both with 6:2 in her favor.

Hungarian POTA lost first set against SAMARA, but she was fantastic in next three. She had a huge support from the stands, providing new chance for Berlin. Guest had no chance in last set which Hungarian opened 5:0 and 7:1.

SHAN succeeded to recover after loss from HU and overcame world`s no. 15 Viktoria PAVLOVICH in straight games. She saved one set ball in second set.

Finally, the 2011 individual European Championships silver medalist Irene IVANCAN came on the scene with her defensive style. After 9:2 lead of HU Melek it looked like that Turkish champion is much closer to the victory. But, IVANCAN was excellent, especially in ultimate, fifth set, when she started bad (1:4). She decided the match with three consecutive points from 7:7 to 10:7.
