Hugo CALDERANO Joined the TTC Fakel-Gazprom

The work on strengthening the Orenburg table tennis club Fakel-Gazprom continues. The five-time European champion, the best club in Russia and Europe signed a contract with one of the top world players Hugo CALDERANO of Brazil.

CALDERANO is currently ranked as a no. 6 at the ITTF Table Tennis World Rankings. The twenty-four-year-old Hugo CALDERANO, who has made amazing progress in recent years, will start playing for the TTC Fakel - Gazprom on July 1, 2021.

Hugo CALDERANO is well known in the World of table tennis. He is the winner of the Pan American Cup in 2018 and 2019 and the Latin American TT Cup in 2016; the winner of the Latin American Championships 2014, 2015 and 2016; the winner of the Pan American Games in 2015 and 2019; bronze medalist of the Youth Olympic Games in 2014; two-time winner of the Brazil Open.

CALDERANO has played for the German club TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen for the past seven years, winning the Table Tennis Bundesliga title and the German Cup in 2019.
