Three titles for Romania in Zenica

Balkan Youth Championships

 

Romania clinched three gold medals in Teams event at the Balkan Youth Championships in Zenica. Junior and Cadet Boys and Cadet Girls all reached titles. Turkey succeeded to gold in Junior Girls Team’s Event.

 

The gold medal winners in Juniors are: Dragos OPREA, Mihai ZAMFIR, Mihai NEMACIUC. Turkey won silver and Bosna and Herzegovina and Montenegro reached third position at the medal rostrum

 

Turkey’s Juniors Betul Nur KAHRAMAN, Gul Pembe OZKAYA and Merve Nur OZTURK won gold. They beat Bulgaria in the final. Romania and Slovenia reached bronze.

 

Florin Bujor and Iulian CHIRITA overcame Turkey in the final of the Cadet Boys Teams Event. Previously they succeeded against Slovenia and Bulgaria in their respective semifinals.

 

Elena ZAHARIA and Camelia MITROFAN are the new champions in Cadet Girls Team’s Event. Moldova reached second position, whilst Serbia and Turkey are third.
