Suspense is rising in Junior boys event

European Youth Top 10 in Worcester

After six rounds of the competition in the Junior Boy’s event at the European Youth Top 10 in Worcester there are great chances that we will saw another thrilling closure of the competition as we did at the European Youth Championships in Portugal. European champion Ioannis SGOUROPOULOS of Greece is still unbeaten, whilst silver medalist Cristian PLATEA of Romania lost only one match in England. It means that we could have deciding last duel at the Top 10 since they are no. one and two seeded and they will meet in the last round.

 

Ioannis SGOUROPOULOS had a rough start of the day. In the fourth round Greek player were two games in reverse against Matteo MUTTI of Italy, before he recovered, but still Italian forced the match into seventh game. In the sixth Round he was under severe pressure once again. The player who always create difficulties for Ioannis, Rares SIPOS forced him to go full seven games.

 

No. one seed PLETEA needed one game less to overcame Gerrit ENGEMANN of Germany. He also beat Florian CNUDDE of Belgium in straight games

 

In the last round of the day Irvin BERTRAND of France overcame Joshua BENNETT of England, Tobias HIPPLER prevailed against Bastien REMBERT of France. Matteo MUTTI suffered by the hands of Gerrit ENGEMANN.

 

On third position, currently are Tobias HIPPLER and Irvin BERTRAND.
