Borussia Dusseldorf joins Orenburg in the TTCLM final

German side defeated reigning champion AS Pontoise Cergy in the returning semi-final game 3:1 (3:0 1st leg)

 

Record holder with 10 titles Borussia Dusseldorf joined triple winner Fakel Gazprom Orenburg in the 2016/17 Table Tennis Champions League Men, after 3:1 home win against reigning champion AS Pontoise Cergy. German side was more convincing in the first leg, held four weeks ago in France, when they won 3:0.

 

Two Sweden`s players and doubles partners Kristian KARLSSON and Mattias KARLSSON met in the opener. They were leveled after four games, but host announced his victory with four consecutive points (5:3, 9:3) in ultimate chapter. Then it was clear that Borussia will once again fight in the TTCLM final.

 

Stefan FEGERL repeated his accomplishment from France, as he beat world class player Marcos FREITAS. Four weeks ago they met in the opener, and Austrian paved the way to the victory of German club.

 

Tristan FLORE beat European legend Timo BOLL second time in two TTCLM seasons. Frenchman did it after full five games.

 

Youngest Bourssia`s player Anton KALLBERG concluded the clash by his win over Niagol STOYANOV.
