Rio Paralympics: Ukraine and Sweden in the battle for the Men`s Classes 6-8 gold
Four years ago Ukraine lost in the opening round, while Sweden ended its participation in the quarter-final
Ukraine lost in the opening round of 2012 London Paralympics, Sweden was eliminated in the Round 1 than, but now they will play in the final of Men`s Team Classes 6-8 at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. They beat Great Britain and China respectively.
Men`s Team Classes 1-2
The 2012 London Paralympics runner-up of Men`s Team Class 1-2, France reached its new final in Rio. They beat host side Brazil 2:0 to set final showdown with Korea, bronze medalist four years ago, which now managed to eliminate defending champion Czech Republic.
Men`s Team Classes 4-5
Four years ago runner-up Korea defeated reigning champion China 2:1 to secure final clash with Taipei which beat Turkey 2:0.
Women`s Team Classes 1-3
Defending champion China and Croatia will play for the crown in the Women`s Team Classes 1-3, both after 2:0 wins. Italia and Korea are playing one against another to decide who will leave Brazil with a bronze medal.
Women`s Team Classes 4-5
Nada MATIC provided the winning point for Serbia in the semi final clash against Sweden, 2:1. She beat Ingela LUNDBAECK in straight games. Other finalist is the defending champion China which had an easy job against Korea.
Women`s Team Classes 6-10
Favorites confirmed their quality in the semi-final duels of Women`s Team Class 6-10: China – Australia 2:0, Poland – Brazil 2:0. Natalia PARTYKA`s Poland is determined to take the gold after bronze medal taken in London four years ago.
