Two French clubs in semis

Men's ETTU Cup

 

Two French representatives booked their places in the semi final of the Men's ETTU Cup; Vaillante Sports Angers TT and Istres Tennis de Table, both recorded victories in the second leg of the quarter final. In the semi final SV Werder Bremen will play against Vaillante Sports Angers TT, whilst Istres Tennis de Table will meet Weinviertel Niederösterreich.

Istres Tennis de Table progressed to the next stage of the Event after they repeated the success from the first leg. Sten Ostrov Havlickuv Brod struggled to find the solution against the French side, although they forced guests to go full distance in Czech Republic.

It was opposite situation for the Vaillante Sports Angers TT. They struggled in the opening leg, but tonight they showed no mercy against guests from Spain. Only Marc DURAN from DKV Borges Vall managed to put Jens LUNDQVIST under pressure; it was not easy for Jon PERSSON but Christophe LEGOUT sealed the match in express way.
