Big advantage for defending TTCLM champion

Orenburg beat away UMMC 3:1 in the 1st leg of the 2015/16 quarter-finals

 

Reigning TTCLM champion Fakel Gazproma Orenburg secured big advantage in the first quarter-final leg of the 2015/16 TTCLM, as they beat away UMMC 3:1 in the all-Russian clash. Returning match will be held on January 22nd.

 

Even before the today’s duel UMMC was fully aware that it has a small chances, bearing in mind that its best player Jun MIZUTANI is absent due to obligation at the National Championships of Japan.

 

Actual individual European champion Dimitrij OVTCHAROV brought two points to the guest side. First he easily beat Zoran PRIMORAC, losing just seven points in total, and after 2:1 lead for his team concluded the 1st quarter-final leg against Alexander SHIBAEV.

 

Vladimir SAMSONOV was better than SHIBAEV in the second encounter, while Girgory VLASOV took unique point for host club, playing full five games against Alexey SMIRNOV.
