2016 Swedish Junior and Cadet Open in Örebro
Andreas LEVENKO of Austria clinched the title in the Junior Boys’ Singles event at the 2016 Swedish Junior and Cadet Open in Örebro. Yuko KATO of Japan succeeded to the gold in the Junior Girls' Singles event.
In the final LEVENKO beat Japan's Yu KAYAMA 4:2 (7-11, 12-10, 9-11, 11-8, 18-16, 11-7), whilst in the penultimate round Austria's player overcame another Japan's representative Tomokazu HARIMOTO (8-11,11-8,6-11,7-11,8-11).
In Junior Girls' Singles final KATO overcame Filippa BERGAND of Sweden (9-11, 11-6, 1-11,4-11,7-11), after she overcame her compatriot Miyu NAGASAKI (4-11, 11-7, 11-9, 11-5, 13-11).
Japan's partnership of Tomokazu HARIMOTO and Yukiya UDA overcame Leo DE NODREST and Joe SEYFRIED of France in the Doubles (11-5, 11-6, 15-13). Previously, newly crowned champions beat Aoto ASAZU and Takeru KASHIWA of Japan (9-11,11-9,4-11,11-5,11-8). DE NODREST and SEYFRIED also succeeded against Japan's Koyo KANAMITSU and Yuta TANAKA (11-9,9-11,8-11,9-11).
Filippa BERGAND and Erika FRONT of Sweden reached the top step at the medal rostrum. They overcame LEE Ka Yee and WONG Chin Yau of Hong Kong in the final of the Junior Girls' Doubles Event (9-11,11-7,11-7,11-13,11-8). In semis BERGAND and FRONT overcame another Hong Kong's pairings LIU Qi and MAK Tze Wing (8-11,12-14,10-12). Kristina KAZANTSEVA and Anastasia KOLISH of Russia reached the bronze medal.
