Zamek`s great comeback

Polish champion beat away Linz 3:2 in the Round 2 of ECLW

 

Polish champion Zamek Tarnobrzeg was two points down in Linz, but managed to win Round 2 match of ECLW 3:2. Double European champion played without the 2005 individual gold medalist of Old Continent LIU Jia, hence two promising players got important roles in their squad.

 

Sofia POLCANOVA and Camelia POSTOACA (both born in 1994) secured 2:0 advantage to Froschberg, beating two prominent opponents, former Euro Top 12 winner LI Qian and actual best ranked European HAN Ying respectively.

 

Turning point came in the opening set of the third encounter, when Natalia PARTYKA won 40 points long set against Iveta VACENOVSKA. Host managed to level, but Polish player took next two sets to provide new chance to HAN who leveled against POLCANOVA.

 

In the decisive clash, LI Qian had an easy job against Camelia POSTOACA. Now, Zamek has 1-1 score, while it was the first game in the 2015/16 season for Linz.
