Six matches of TTCLM Round 3 were held tonight: Walter Wels – FC Saarbrucken 0:3, Olimpia Unia – UMMC 2:3, Hennebont – Niederosterreich 3:2, Werder Bremen – KTS Energa-Manekin 3:2, Borussia – STEN Ostrov HB 3:1, Bogoria– Chartres 2:3

In Group A there is no undefeated teams, as SPG Walter Wels was beaten at home by 2012 TTCLM semi-finalist Saarbrucken, actual leader in Bundesliga. Crucial moment for 3:0 win of German club was opening clash in which Bojan TOKIC defeated Yuya OSHIMA who had 4-0 individual score after Round 2 (in the Round 1 he overcame both greats, Vladimir SAMSONOV and Dimitrij OVTCHAROV). Slovenian prevailed against Japanese in four games. After that Tiago APOLONIA and Adrien METTENET achieved fast wins against Mihai BOBOCICA and Zsolt PETO, respectively. As Saarbrucken`s coach Slobodan GRUJIC stressed in pre-game statement, this match could be a turning point for his side which lost both its games in first two rounds.

Japanese Jun MIZUTANI was a man of the match in Poland, securing two points to UMMC who won 3:2.  World`s no 6. beat WANG Jang and Yoshida KAAI. Russian club, the 2012 TTCLM runner-up continues with 2-1 score in Group B. Other match in that group was fully exciting, as 2008 TTCLM champion Niederosterreich suffered very first defeat at Hennebont 3:2. Kalinikos KREANGA, bronze medalist from 2003 World Championships, delivered a double 3:0 score, against HOU Yingchao and Stefan FEGERL. It was first win for French team.

Werder Bremen achieved its second victory in Group C, defeating KTS Energa-Manekin Torun in full five games. Bastian STEGER contributed with two points, while winning one secured Kirill SKACHKOV who prevailed against Matsumoto CAZUO.

Group D clashes brought victories of ten times European champion Borussia and 2013 TTCLM runner-up Chartres. German club, who still plays without injured Timo BOLL, overcame STEN Ostrov HB 3:1. Patrick FRANZISKA won both his encounters, against Pavel SIRUCEK in the opener and Matsataka MORIZONO in the latest game. After many upside-downs, Chartres beat away Bogoria 3:2. Strong newcomer of Polish side, JUNG Youngsik confirmed his high position at world`s ITTF ranking list (no. 12), but his points against Par GERELL and GAO Ning were not enough to provide first Bogoria`s win in ongoing season.
