The 2015 LIEBHERR ITTF European Championships at Ekaterinburg, Russia, expended limits of this event, providing some impressive figures beside player`s and team`s achievements. Regarding participants, 303 players from 42 associations have competed in 1430 matches in 10 days, playing 202 team matches in total (with 796 individual) and 634 encounters in the individual event.

Over 35,000 fans could see 5404 games in total (teams 3010, individual 2394) and 99.189 points (teams 55.266, individual 43.923, total).

The oldest players are HE Zhiwen (ESP, 53 years, 4 months) in men event, and NI Xialian (LUX, 53 years, 2 months) in women`s competition. The youngest are Chris WHEELER (SCO, 16 years, 5 months) and Nazekat GARAJEVA (AZE, 13 years, 10 months).

The longest match was FEGERL/MONTEIRO (AUT/POR) vs. GARDOS/HABESOHN (AUT), 78 minutes, 11-9, 14-12, 6-11, 8-11, 13-15, 11-8, 12-10. (MD final), while the two shortest took nine minutes each: Eline LOYEN (BEL) - Sharmin SHIRINOVA (AZE), 11-1, 11-1, 11-3, Joao GERALDO (POR) - Jafar JAFARZADE (AZE), 9 minutes, 11-3, 11-3, 11-3.

Four busiest players were - Men: Jonathan GROTH (DEN), 18 matches, Pär GERELL (SWE), 17, women -

Elisabeta SAMARA (ROU), 23, LI Jie (NED), 20.

Other interesting facts about European Table Tennis Championship 2015 includes next:

-35 buses were used by tournament participants. For the championship period these buses have made 5,000 voyages and run, in total, 120,000 km.

-150 volunteers participated in this tournament.

-A special lot of 6,000 balls was made for the championship.

-333 kilograms of biscuits were cooked for tournament participants.

-6,700 lunches and dinners were cooked for participants while the tournament.

-The area of pavilion, where the tournament was held, is over 10,000 ths. sq. m.

-Tournament participants have drunk 16,000 bottles of water.

-Over 35,000 spectators have visited the championship matches.

-Total time of live broadcasts of championship matches is over 100 hours

-1,430 matches were held, in total, in the course of the tournament.

-303 athletes have participated in the championship.
