France showed no weakness

Turkey reached quarterfinal in Junior Girls Event

 

At the Junior Teams Event at the European Youth Championships in Bratislava top seeded girls and boys of France prevailed in their Round of 16 encounters.

 

Audrey ZARIF, Pauline CHASELIN and Marie MIGOT overcame Switzerland in straight matches. However the most enthusiastic crowd in the hall was around the arena where Turkey played against Poland. Kubra TAN, Damla UZEL and especially brave effort of Simay KULAKCEKEN brought them place in the quarterfinal. After shaky start Belarus Dria TRIGOLOS , Alina NIKITCHANKA and Hanna PATSEYEVA overcame Croatia and joined Turkey.

 

Belgium’s Lisa LUNG, Eline LOYEN and Margo DEGRAEF succeeded against Spain. Russia’s Maria MALANINA, Daria CHERNOVA and Daria CHERNORAY beat Bulgaria; England with Maria TSAPTSINOS , Lois PEAKE and lead by Tin Tin HO overcame Germany; Romania’s Diana LUPU, Adina DIACONU and Alina ZAHARIA showed no mercy against Ukraine.

 

French team of Can AKKUZU, Alexandre CASSIN and Joe SEYFRIED overcame England in straight matches. Sweden’s Anton KALLBERG, Malte MOREGARDH and Oscar PERMAN also concluded this phase with 3:0 win over Belgium. Poland’s Patryk ZATOWKA, Marek BADOWSKI and Kamil NALEPA joined them after victory over Spain. Slovenia’s Deni KOZUL, Darko JORGIC and Tom SFILGOJ inflicted the pain in host supporters hearts by overcoming Samuel KALUZNY, Tomas KOPNYI and Tibor SPANIK.

 

Czech Republic’s Tomas POLANSKI, Stanislav KUCERA and Jakub NEMECEK ended the hopes of Croatia, whilst Germany’s Dennis KLEIN, Gerrit ENGEMANN and Jonah SCHLIE beat Austria. Russia’s Nikita YARUSHIN, Konstantin CHERNOV and Andrey SEMENOV beat Belarus.
