Romanian junior booked her place in semi final
Ranked at the position no. 19 at the European list Andreea CLAPA of Romania booked her place in the penultimate stage of the Junior Girls Singles Event. She will meet Marie MIGOT of France. Top seeded Adina DIACONU of Romania will play against Audrey ZARIF of France, no. three seed.
Andrea CLAPA made her way through to the semi final with the great victory against Pauline CHASSELIN of France, no. two seed in the fourth round. After that, in quarters she overcame another favorite; her next victim was Alina NIKITCHANKA of Belarus 4:2 (-7, 6, 5, -7, 6, 8). Adina DIACONU overcame Daria CHERNORAY of Russia 4:0 (9, 3, 6, 9), whilst ZARIF prevailed against WAN Yuan of Germany 4:0 (10, 5, 8, 6). MIGOT beat Lisa SAGER 4:2 (-7, -9, 11, 6, 4, 2), after German player cleared her way to the semis. Lisa beat Natalia BAJOR in the fourth round.
Four Junior’s Doubles in girls category reserved their places at the medal rostrum: Maria MALANINA and Daria CHERNORAY of Russia, WAN Yuan and Lisa SAGER of Germany , Jennie WOLF of Germany and Anna IVANNIKOVA of Russia and Alina NIKITCHANKOVA and Hanna PATSEYEVA of Belarus.
In the quarterfinal after two long distance matches, Maria MALANINA and Daria CHERNORAY finally recorded straight games victory. They accounted for Bulgaria’s Krasimira and Maria YOVKOVA 3:0 (13, 7, 8). WAN and SAGER showed impressive performance against Lisa LUNG and Eline LOYEN of Belgium 3:0 (7, 4, 4).
Germany will have another chance to play for final, since WOLF and IVANNIKOVA booked their place in the semis after straight games victory over Xuan Xu ZHANG and Nora ESCARTIN of Spain 3:0 (7, 9, 10). Only NIKITCHANKOVA and PATSEYEVA went through four games against Dorina SREBRNJAK and Klara CAKOL of Croatia 3:1 (-3, 5, 8, 4).
