Walter Wels in good shape goes to Germany

Austrian team plays against Saarbrucken in the TTCLM Round 6 this Friday, as both sides have 2-3 score

 

All eight matches of the TTCLM Round 6 will be held this Friday, with some possibilities that set-ratio will determine the final standings. Group B is unique with three teams tied at 2-3 from 2nd do 4th places: Saarbrucken, Walter Wels and Angers. Hence each point will be very important in the last round of group stage.

 

Austrian club had a furious start, winning first two rounds (3:1 away victory against reigning TTCLM champion Orenburg which secured top spot after five rounds), but lost next three games in row. Coach Edi VECKO explains before the crucial encounter against Saarbrucken:

 

"The last two rounds were really hard for us, as our top player Yuya OSHIMA was not able to play. So for the last match our expectations are not too high, but we hope to at least win a game or two to conclude the group phase”

 

Walter Wels President Bernhard HUMER emphasizes strength of German side:

 

„Saarbrücken is a top team within Europe, and also our players are in good shape at the moment, so we are very looking forward to see some spectacular scenes.”

 

Fakel Gazproma Orenburg (4-1) travels to France to meet Angers (2-3). French team also has a chance to make quarter-finals, but in case of its victory and Saarbrucken`s loss.
