More than 3000 entries for 2016 WVC Alicante - Elche

2016 World Veteran Table Tennis Championships

 

This week the organizers have reached the entry number 3000 for the 2016 World Veteran Table Tennis Championships.

 

“We have today 3011 entries. 15 December is the first deadline for early bird rates and the final deadline is 29 February 2016. The country that has registered more entries so far is Germany with 821, followed by France 329, Spain 227, England 194, Sweden 170 and Japan 154. Players from 64 different Associations have entered so far,” stated Jordi SERRA, CEO WVC 2016.

 

The biggest entry at the World Veterans Championships was registered in Bremen in 2006 with 3650 players from 59 different Associations, followed by Stockholm in 2012, with 3335 entries from 66 different countries.

 

For events the Men's Singles over 50 has the biggest entry with 622 players, followed by the Men's Singles over 40 with 406 entries. In Women's events the highest entry i for Women's Singles over 50 with 229 players followed by Women's Singles over 60 with 124 players.
