Jun MIZUTANI signs for Orenburg

Dimitrij OVTCHAROV announced via his Facebook page that Japanese will join reigning TTCLM champion next summer

 

Reigning TTCLM winner Fakel Gazproma Orenburg builds its Dream Team for the upcoming 2015/16 season, as Dimitrij OVTCHAROV announced via his Facebook page that Jun MIZUTANI signed for the triple TTCLM champion. Two times Pro Tour Grand Tours winner (2010, 2014) from Japan will finish this season with another Russian club UMMC.

 

“Great news! My friend and long-term rival Jun MIZUTANI is playing together with me and Vladi for Orenburg! He has just signed for the next season and I am very happy to fight with Jun together in one team! Welcome, Jun!” stated two times individual European champion Dimitrij OVTCHAROV.

 

It will be the very first time that one TTCLM club have three Top 11 players at the ITTF World ranking list (according 2015 December list): no. 4 Dimitrij OVTCHAROV, no. 6 Jun MIZUTANI, no. 11 Vladimir SAMSONOV. Former ITTF-Europa Top 16 winner, Alexey SMIRNOV currently occupies no. 105.

 

Jun MIZUTANI will lead UMMC against his future club Orenburg in the first quarter-final leg of 2015/16 TTCLM, which will be held on January 19th in Verkhnaya Pyshma.
