2016 World Veteran Table Tennis Championships

 

Now it is official. The 2016 World Veteran Table Tennis Championships is going to break all records: The Championships with more tables ever, is the most universal Championships, with players from 69 different Associations so far. And now, it is the Championships with more players ever: 4 122 players registered so far. And the registration process is still open until 29 February 2016.

 

The Swaythling Club International and the Organizing Committee has accepted to raise the limit of 4 000 players to a maximum of 4 400 players. Registrations received above the number of 4 400 will be put on a waiting list in the order of date of entry. Vacancies will be filled from the waiting list.

 

German Association topping the list with 930 entries followed by France (347), Spain (316) , Japan (280), England and Sweden (237), China (150) and Russia (120) up to 69 different Associations.

 

Regarding the events, Men's Singles over 50 is the event with the biggest entry (861) followed by Men's Singles over 40 with 562 and Men's Singles, over 60, with 455. In Women's events, Women's Singles over 50 has 332 entries followed by Women's Singles over 40 with 183 and Women's Singles over 60 with 178. To be noted, that the 2016 World Veterans Championships will have a new event, the over 90 category. In Men's over 90, 10 people has entered so far.
