North Korea won first gold in Mixed Doubles
Alexandre CASSIN of France prevailed in the final of the Cadet Boys Singles Event of the STRÖCK European Youth Championships in the duel against Patryk ZATOWKA of Poland. On close encounter CASSIN added another gold to enriched French treasury.
“I was ready for ZATOWKA. We already played against each other in the Team’s Event,” said CASSIN.
Patryk ZATOWKA reached final after very good match against Maxim CHAPLYGIN of Russia. Russia’s player failed to produce any upsets, not even to take one game from the Polish favorite.
“I love to play against the defensive players. I was focused, gave my best to put the ball on the table and everything went smooth. My previous matches were much difficult,” said ZATOWKA.
In all-French duel Alexandre CASSIN overcame Romain RUIZ. He needed five games.
“We played at the French championships and I never beat him before. I am so happy now, because I succeeded with 4:1. RUIZ never had a chance today,” said CASSIN.
