Another last-minute change of plans for SAMARA
22/09/2010 – The VOLKSWAGEN Women’s World Cup to be staged in Kuala Lumpur from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th September will gather 19 players and among them will be three European representatives. Germany’s WU Jiaduo, Hungary’s Krisztina TOTH and Poland’s Natalia PARTYKA will have hard task to answers the challenge from Asian players.
At the list are: GUO Yue of China as a Asian representative, WU Jiaduo of Germany as a Europe representative, ZHANG Mo of Canada as North American representative, YANG Fen of Congo as African representative, LI Karen of New Zealand as Oceania representative, Yadira SILVA of Mexico as Latin American representative, BEH Lee Wei as host association player. According to rankings 10 players were invited: FENG Tianwei of Singapore, GUO YAn of China, KIM Kyung Ah of Korea, WANG Yuegu ofSingapore, JIANG Huajun of Hong Kong, Ai FUKUHARA of Japan, PARK Mi Young of Korea, Sayaka HIRANO of Japan, TIE Yana of Hong Kong and HUANG Yi-Hua of Taipei. Krisztina TOTH and Natalia PARTYKA received ITTF wild card.
In Ostrava WU Jiaduo, defending champion at the LIEBHERR European Championships departed proceedings in round four, whilst Krisztina TOTH suffered a third round defeat and Natalia PARTYKA was defeated in the opening round.
